New Initiative for 2012 and beyond

We are in the process of implementing a major new project, the "GRAMINSHIKSHA". The focus of this project is to bring the benefits and services of information and communication technologies to rural communities and organizations' that normally don't have access to or cannot afford them. The project is based on GNET belief that denial of people's right to information and knowledge prevents:

GNET proposed Multipurpose Community Telecentres is a modest but a pioneering initiative and the first of its kind in INDIA, intended to increase the ease of access and speed of responses to communications and initiatives of people, communities and local organizations who struggle to raise standards of living and quality of life with the help of Audio Video training centers with trainers as per the need of Groups.

GNET is taking steps to present and discuss this project with our current and potential partners, donors and associates to get their valuable feedback, learn from the experience of organizations/agencies that are involved in "ICTS for Development" initiatives and also to mobilize necessary resources, financial or otherwise, in support of the proposed Telecentres in New Delhi.
